Yikes, its been ages since i posted anything! i've been slaving away at making my own traditionally animated film, and it has this way of sucking you in and consuming you. but the end it near, and i wanted to share some still frames from it. hope it gets some good reviews.

well well... here's some post dated character animation. been so busy with layout that there really hasnt been much time to get round to posting stuff. but finally and incomprehensibly, all layouts have been signed off and i have already completed rough animations for 2 scenes. so far so good. watch this space, i will be posting some character designs and some pose-outs in the coming weeks. OMG christmas is almost upon us!!

Argh its been a while since i posted. At last we're getting stuck into final film, and it appears more acutely now, how few hours there are in a day. Once the animatics get signed off, its a leaping swan dive into layout. Oh for joy. But for now, here's the one sheet i plan to present on friday.. the style and colour palette choices for the film. wish i had a better name for it though.

but she has risen to taunt me once again. im kidding really. the first time was torture, since i was experimenting with the style, but all the subsequent work has become surprisingly streamlined, and as such, not as distasteful. i admit i rather enjoyed. gasp! the red hen publicity material is expanding, the the supporting cast needed their own illustrated characters, which leads me here.

finally!! here we are, and absolution is mine! Dumpo has been tamed. animating this model has been rather challenging, especially since none of us were terribly excited about its design, but i figure its great practice. it amuses me, how grandiose everyone's ideas were. if im not mistaken, all of us changed and simplified our gags and timing, just to make it workable within the given time. all accounted for i think i worked maybe 2 full days on this little sod, but all said, im content with the result. wish i had more squash and stretch, but im gonna make sure i incorporated everything i wanted to do, but didnt, into the next assignment.
